Fragmentation II explores the fracture of identity at the moment when an internal force exceeds the structure created to contain it.
Constructed through planes of grey, the figure remains motionless as its cranial architecture opens and releases an eruption of white, black and gold. Geometric fragments are projected into space, creating a tension between the stillness of the face and the violence of transformation.
Within the symbolic universe of Homo Plumbi, lead represents weight, rigidity and the untransformed state of matter. Here, fragmentation is not presented merely as destruction, but as a necessary threshold: the form must break before another state can emerge.
The work captures that suspended instant in which identity has begun to dissolve, yet what will replace it has not been revealed.
