Akh·mer·met is a space of transmutation. I write and paint about what the symbol reveals and what alchemy has long understood: every material form conceals a process of the psyche waiting to be named.

AKH·MER·MET — A CREATIVE CONCEPT

The name is formed from three symbolic fragments: Akh, Mer and Met.

Akh·mer·met is conceived as a passage through which light and invisible consciousness descend into matter and become visible through artistic transformation. Akh evokes transfigured light and active spirit; Mer represents the channel or current that carries it; and Met refers to mortal matter—the ending of a previous form and the threshold through which transformation becomes possible.

Rooted in an interest in ancient Egyptian symbolism and alchemical thought, Akh·mer·met approaches creation as a process of transmutation: light becomes form, matter acquires memory and the visible emerges from what was previously intangible.

The creative process is informed by meditation, focused attention and states at the threshold between deliberate thought and spontaneous image-making. Images, phrases and symbolic forms may emerge before they are consciously organised, later becoming poems, paintings or the conceptual foundations of a new body of work.

MARGARET B. WALLACE ARAUJO

Margaret Blanca Wallace Araujo, professionally known as Margaret B. Wallace Araujo, is a Uruguayan-Spanish multidisciplinary artist, writer, entrepreneur and independent researcher based in Barcelona. Her artistic practice moves between painting and literature, while her broader work extends into entrepreneurship and the study of consciousness.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from ESAG–UDESC, the State University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, Brazil, and an MBA in Financial Management from EAE Business School in Barcelona.

As an entrepreneur, she is the founder of Pink Paris Atelier, an independent skincare brand created for sensitive and demanding skin.

As an independent researcher, she investigates how consciousness might emerge in complex systems with high levels of organisation, integration and coherence. She is the author of OROBORIS: A Structural Theory of Coherent Informational Organization and Conscious Nodes, a structural meta-framework published as an open preprint on Zenodo.

In 2008, Margaret became the first woman from her country to set a Uruguayan national freediving record, establishing the women’s national record in static apnea with a performance of 3 minutes and 27 seconds under the supervision of AIDA International judges.

The breath-control techniques she learned through freediving helped her enter meditative states, opening the way to a deeper exploration of consciousness, sustained attention and the relationship between inner discipline and artistic creation.

Her current artistic body of work, Homo Plumbi, examines the weight of conditioning, the architecture of identity and the uncertain frontier between human consciousness and artificial intelligence.
